Barthélémy Courmont est maître de conférences en histoire contemporaine à l’Université Catholique de Lille (France), chercheur sur l’Asie-Pacifique à l'IRIS, et rédacteur en chef de Monde chinois, nouvelle Asie. Il est par ailleurs directeur-associé, sécurité et défense, à la Chaire Raoul-Dandurand en études stratégiques et diplomatiques (UQAM), associé à l’Institut québécois de géopolitique (IQG) et est l’auteur d’une vingtaine d’ouvrages sur les questions géopolitiques et stratégiques, notamment en Asie du nord-est.

Barthélémy Courmont is Assistant Professor in Contemporary History at the Catholic University of Lille (France), Research Fellow specializing in Asia-Pacific questions at IRIS, and editor-in-chief of Monde chinois, nouvelle Asie. He is also Associate Director, Security and Defence, at the Raoul-Dandurand Chair in Strategic and Diplomatic Studies (UQAM), an associate of the Quebec Institute of Geopolitics (IQG), and the author of more than twenty monographs on geopolitics and strategy, notably covering Northeast Asia.
